Priory Street

Extension | Remodel | Conservation

Located within York’s Central Historic Core Conservation Area, this project involved the sensitive redevelopment of a mid-terrace townhouse.

The works included demolishing an outdated outbuilding and adding two contemporary single-storey rear extensions to create a new open-plan kitchen and dining space, along with an energy-efficient utility and shower room.

The design features natural materials and a modern zinc roof, subtly contrasting with heritage brickwork. Enhancements also included like-for-like replacement of sash windows and an upgraded front garden in York stone.
