Transforming Central is an ambitious project aimed at opening the Grade II* listed church to a wider range of uses while preserving its role as a place of worship.
Following significant redevelopment in the 1990s, ongoing improvements, repairs, and maintenance have been essential to keep the building weather-tight. Mass Architecture provided expert surveying and advice on major works, including the replacement of slates on the chapel roof, the restoration of damp roof timbers, and addressing water leaks.
Additional work involved masonry repointing, exterior decoration, and the repair of cracks in the external walls, ensuring the building’s long-term preservation.
