The Little Theatre

Conservation | Refurbishment

The Little Theatre at Scarborough Spa required significant repairs due to structural movement that compromised the roof support columns and caused water ingress, damaging the internal galleries and resulting in their closure.

The project involved removing the temporary shoring system and installing a new permanent structural support to the building’s façade. The surface water drainage system was upgraded, and a new waterproofing system was installed on the external balcony deck and around key structural elements.

Additionally, repairs were made to the window frames and sills, with existing over-boarding removed from the façades to restore the theatre’s integrity and usability.
