Ley Community Hall

Extension | Refurbishment

This contemporary design blends modern elements with the vernacular architecture of the existing hall, incorporating sandstone details and clay roof tiles.

A striking glass link connects the old and new structures, while green render introduces a modern touch. The northern gable features a pattern that gives the building a civic character. The extension’s proportions align with the hall’s ridge height, maintaining visual harmony while preserving the Memorial Garden.

Inside, attention to detail ensures a clean, elegant appearance. Environmentally, the building is fully insulated, with underfloor heating, an air source heat pump, and photovoltaic panels.

Accessibility was enhanced with a new ramp and pathway in resin-bound aggregate.
