Natural light was at the heart of this client’s brief. Their terraced house is narrow in footprint across four floors, so the design needed real care, particularly to avoid shading the basement below.

We replaced an existing external metal terrace with a ‘floating’, industrial-style glazed extension that maximises natural light. Structural glazing, purpose-built stepped planters and a bespoke staircase were each crafted to suit the property.

At the rear of the garden, a matching south-facing sun room extends the idea outdoors, enhancing views of the garden and catching the evening sun.
