This project involved the full refurbishment and extension of a 1930s Art Deco villa. Phase One, completed in May 2016, included a guest apartment makeover and a custom-designed external staircase.
Phase Two, finished in spring 2017, featured a rear extension creating a spacious kitchen/dining area and a reconfigured interior with a striking glass and steel feature staircase. The client sought a contemporary aesthetic that harmonized with the villa’s original Art Deco charm.
Carefully selected materials and lighting were used to unify the design, while external upgrades included insulation, rendering, and new aluminium soffits. The addition of MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery) enhanced energy efficiency, comfort, and health benefits.
