Kitchen Extension and Refurbishment

  • Completion Date

    2007

  • Project Cost

    £170,000

The client, a keen horticulturalist, wanted an extension that would frame the view of her garden and provide a place to eat whilst gazing out.

A palette of natural materials seemed fitting and so Siberian larch was used to clad a new timber framed extension and bespoke plywood kitchen.

FSC standard timber was used throughout the project and a home-grown sedum roof was installed with sunpipe to allow daylight to the new interior.

The oriel window was a special feature and was designed to showcase the client’s ceramic/glassware and houseplants.
